SLAVES OF Abruzzo (CH) - Back the musical-cultural event Slaves of Music (edited of the association), which has become a point of reference of the independent music that aims to enhance the musical activity as a fundamental means of artistic expression and civic and cultural promotion. Three days entirely dedicated to the music, which will alternate realities of the Italian independent scene. The small town of Upper Vasto, to 1168 meters above sea level, on days 24, 25 and 26 June will come alive for this unmissable initiative that will involve not only the local community but, as has become tradition, many fans from all over Italy . It starts Friday, June 24, starting at 22 on the stage set up in the heart of the historical center in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, with an evening of Ska Abruzzo: toggles the Rainska Teramo and Vasto Chilafapuliska, band that cleverly mixes different genres from rocksteady to beat barracuda, from country to ska. Saturday, June 25 will open the evening the Voina Hen, a group that embodies the full potential of the emerging Italian alt-rock scene. Afterwards will perform The Bear, a band that has significant numbers even if it is born recently: more than two and a half million views on Youtube, two million of plays on Spotify and more than 400 concerts. 2017 for this group in Milan has opened with the release of the album in March A Safe Place, which contains the single Not I Never: this new work combines electronic sounds and modern, nature and acoustic instruments samples, melody rappate parties. Conclude the event, Sunday, June 26, The Rare Tracks - Rino Gaetano tribute. The various performances of the band joined to the natural beauty of the place, to the infinite landscape, the hospitality and the friendliness of the people will be the ingredients of a festival that will give voice to the reality of the new Italian music. Three days to drink, eat, dance, sing, have fun and be 'slaves to freedom'. We are slaves of Music and who is not a slave to the music is SLAVE OF SOMETHING WORSE! Schiavi di Abruzzo awaits you.

ABRUZZO

Abruzzo is located in central Italy and stretches from the heart of the Apennines to the Adriatic Sea, on a mainly mountainous and wild land. In the mountains, tourist resorts and well-equipped facilities for skiing and winter sports rise among unpolluted peaks and rocky walls, like Pescasseroli, Rivisondoli and Roccaraso. The natural landscape with the high and steep peaks of the Gran Sasso, the Laga Mountains and Mount Majella, slopes down to a wide range of hills, until it finally reaches the Adriatic coast. The route that spans from the Gran Sasso down to the sea crosses territories that are rich in history, traditions and art, that never cease to surprise visitors. Narrow valleys and memorable natural paths thrust into the mountains and hills , just like the amazing and fascinating Aterno valley, filled with old boroughs. There are many natural reserves, like the National Parks of Abruzzo, the Park of Gran Sasso and the Laga Mountains, or that of Mount Majella, which ensure protection to the typical vege and animal species of the area, like the golden eagle, the wolf and the Marsican brown bear. The Adriatic coast is characterized by long and sandy beaches to the north and pebbly beaches to the south. Also, the small villages of the hinterland, as well as the monasteries and castles of the region, are very charming and are part of many routes for tourists in the greenest region in Italy. The provinces of the region are: L'Aquila (regional capital), Pescara, Teramo and Chieti.
