The vast protected area that extends over the territory of the Municipality of Val Masino , from the village of San Martino ( 923 m) up the slopes of Mount Accident ( 3678 m ) , is divided into three distinct bands with respect to the degree of protection of the territory; a nature reserve integral ( with maximum protection ) , a nature reserve oriented nature reserve and a partial interest of the landscape on the valley floor . The establishment of the Reserve has as its object the protection of the natural and landscape features , protection and conservation of the integral nature , flora and fauna.
