The history of Conselice is very rich in events and characters that , more than anything else , contributed to the fame of the town . Conselice born, in all probability, as evidenced by the numerous finds of marine fossils on the edge of a large lagoon area and , since its inception , demonstrates its strategic importance and became an important crossroads for trade . The probable presence of waterways by small boats and the proximity of the Po di Prima, led to think that the current Conselice , under Roman rule , would be precisely the port of Imola , covering such a role of primary importance for the nearby city . Conselice could be called one of the ideal places for a holiday full of fun : events , annual events and appointments now entered the tradition are combined with historical sites and entertainment , all in an explosive mix that makes this common Ravenna one of the most popular and well known tourist destinations of Italy. The Mill S. Patrick , however, suitable for young and old, is located along the Canal Mills , connecting the town with the nearby Imola , and can be seen in its original structure with two floors. And do not forget the Church of St. Martin , built in a simple neoclassical style, the ruins of an ancient Romanesque church houses two paintings of great value including remembers the ' Madonna with sleeping child ' . But the true heart of Conselice is probably the fun, to which the hospitality and warmth of the inhabitants are just a back for a truly dazzling
